Lynn
Bio: I have been a swimming teacher since I was 16 and love teaching all ages and abilities to swim and enjoy the water. My main aim is to give anyone the chance to have a lifelong safe participation in water. I specialise in using games to enhance learning for children of all ages, as this is how children learn best, and developing individual teaching within a group lesson so all can meet their aims at their own pace. I am lucky enough to be an STA Tutor and have supported the swim school and Oakwood school for over 5 years now by delivering swimming teaching , lifesaving and first aid qualifications for the CCS team and Oakwood staff, along with CPDs so all can continually develop their skills.
Fun fact about you: I’ve never seen the Lion King!
Favourite colour: Turquoise Blue
Favourite Swimming Stroke: Old English Backstroke – everyone should have a go!
What would your superpower be and why? Being able to time travel. No more watching time travel movies, I would do it for real! I want to go back and see different times through the ages and also see the future!
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? An Astronaut but I don’t like heights so it wasn’t very realistic.
What age did you learn to swim? I can’t even remember learning to swim so it must have been quite young. I come from a family of swimmers, swimming teachers and tutors – we are basically born swimming!
If you could be invisible for the day, where would you go? Oh I would probably go places where I could play practical jokes on people, starting with my children and husband.
